The 10th annual "Scramble for Scholarships" golf event is being held on Thursday, May 27th.

Over 300 applications have been received and more than 100 scholarship awards are expected to be made to Western Washington LDS college students attending many different colleges and universities. You are invited to donate to LDS Scholarships or play in the golf event which is the primary fundraiser for this fund.

There are many different sponsorship levels for players and non-players alike. We invite all who wish to support our local young people to donate, whether or not you wish to golf! This year we have a special treat, as our tournament will be held at the The Golf Club at Newcastle, on their China Creek course. This is a special, one-time change of venue for us, so we encourage all to take this opportunity! Learn more about the course at www.newcastlegolf.com.

In addition to the prizes and awards for closest to the pin, longest drives, and holes-in-one, each player will receive a certificate at registration that can be spent in the on-site Adidas-TaylorMade product tent for golf merchandise at substantial discounts on retail pricing. A full catalog will be sent to those who register so if you want to make 2010 the year you get a new set of TaylorMade clubs you can order them ahead and receive the discount in addition to using your certificate.

Back again is the steak & chicken feast hosted by Outback, a multitude of prizes including a Harley Davidson motorcycle, various electronics, various clubs and golf equipment and a number of other prizes.

Tee-off is at noon, with registration open at 10:30 am. The event will conclude prior to 6 p.m.

This is the northwest LDS business event of the year that you will not want to miss.
